The fact of the matter is, a W7 will get louder than a W6 but rather than an SPL set-up you will have more so an SQL set-up. While loud is a subjective term, I think the W7's are awesome and if you have the money to buy em, by all means..

All these other guys who live paycheck by paycheck will tell you to get some no name sub because they cant afford the JL name and quality..

You sir, are retarded. Most of the people can afford JL no problem, the issue is that there are much better products for less. Have you ever messed with any products from the above-mentioned brands? I can tell you from experience that for the money, Fi and SSA are better than JL. JL makes good products, but they are way overrated and way too expensive for what they are. You pay for a name, thats it

If you want alot of SPL and good SQ, just look at what IASCA and MECA SQ champions are using (JL, Focal, IDMAX, Dayton, Peerless, MTX9500, T3 TSS).

Then look at what dB Drag and USAC SPL champions are using, (DD 9900, FI BTL, RE SE, Crossfire XSPL, Atomic APXX, T3 TSS)

and pick the woofers that are common to both.

T3 comes to mind there.

if you are wanting to do spl get rid of the amp a subs. jl is not a spl product. there is much stronger amps for less & much better subs for spl for less.
