Noob, whats the right amp???

I have 2

Jensen 12" subs 525W peak 175 rms. 4 ohms each

I have read and read, and i just dont understand.

Do I need a 400 watt 2 channel, 200 watts for each.

But I dont know about rms watts.

Please help with with chosing an amp, I dont want to spend more that $100, yes, it will be a very cheap system, I work with what I've got.

And what about ohms, If you can explain them, excellent, if not, is there any links that you know of?

I am not sure exactly what subs you are going with, but if they are DVC 4 ohm, then you can wire them each to 2-ohm and go with something like a U.S. acoustics USB-2100.

It can do 150 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms. If they are SVC, then you can still do 100 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms. Can be had for around $100. Might not be the best choice, but its a pretty good option in your price range, I think.

This also might work if the are SVC 4 ohm. MTX THUNDER 311D. You can get 310 watts x 1 at 2 ohms.

Crutchfield is having a special on that amp for like $109.00. Not a bad deal considering the quality.
