noob questions, i know i know....

hey guys, im new around here, well new to these boards. but not new to forums in general. i tried to search for stuff, but it just seems to be more of a pain in the arse. i have a few (kinda) quick questions.

a) I just installed a 4ga amp kit for my 4x75 digital audio amp. i have everything run to the back and the remote wire tapped in to my wiring but as for right now i only have 2 of the 4 speakers ran into my amp. for some reason my amp isnt even turning on. could this be because i only have 2 of my 4 speakers ran into the amp or could it be something else? i am waiting for more of the same wire to come in which was why i was waiting to do the back two. im just going nuts without any music

b) also the fuse in the amp itself is a 30 amp fuse, should i put the same in the in line fuse holder or should i use the 60 that it came with? to me it seems that if a spike or something occurs to blow my 60, the 30 would have blown far before this in my amp and would fry my amp. im not sure if this is correct logic, but id rather blow the fuse in my fuse holder and replace a $3 fuse than a few hundred dollar amp

thanks in advance for putting up with my noobness, lata
