Noob box question, please help...

I just received a 2x12 sealed enclosure today and I need to clarify something. I thought it was going to be a dual chamber where each sub is sealed off from the other but it isn't, it's a common chamber. Anyway, the airspace is around 2.16 after measuring the internal dimensions. Would I need two subs that require around 2.1 cf each or 1.08 each? I'm not taking the sub displacement into account as I just need a general answer here as to what would work best. Thanks.

Thanks a bunch... i was hoping to swap my current sub into the box but now I need two. Time to go shopping I guess.

and since its a common chamber make sure you wire it to a mono signal not stereo (bridge your 2ch if ur using one)
