nobody likes rockford fosgate??

Okay I'll start. Those big *** T15kw's look sick as hell in the back of Steve's truck. And for auditioning/bass racing/etc that Steve does alot of, the design intent is perfect. Its just not for everyone, at least not as I understand it to work.
for the record, im too poor to afford one of those let alone 2.

Chicken owns them.....well they are both ours, well just keep them at his house when i finish //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

btw looking at that first prototype, anyone ever use liquid cooling on there amp, sorry to be a little off topic
I installed some ppi art series with liquid cooling years ago. From what the guy said it worked well for him, but it can be messy and a little on the expensive side.

if you paid FULL MSRP on a T4000.1bd $2800 (which people b!tchen about price in this thread) you are only paying .56 a watt.....now how bad is that and NO ONE hardly pays MSRP. Most of them are VERY close to 5,000 watts ive seen many that were well into the 5k range
back that down to what you guys are normally finding them for, what $1600 on a good deal (with warranty) that is 32 cents a watt.

fleabay, 1400 (or less no warranty) your looking at .28 a watt.

how can anyone b!tch.....car audio is NOT for the broke. Never has been //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif trust me i spent YEARS not having what i wanted and i would gave my right nut to get that amp i wanted for 28 a watt. Back in the caveman day $1.00 a watt was considered good.
But we're talking about hybrid technology here... the T15kw is 15,000w and goes for what, close to 20 grand? That's over $1 a watt. If they could have smaller amps with hybrid technology that weren't giant and were a reasonable price (I'd pay 50-75 cents a watt) then they'd have a winner.

But, If their 1000 watt amp cost $1000, I'd rather have a nice Class D for $300 and a new alt and battery for the same price.

But i heard these amp like the 4000s and 3000s blow easy, and dont like anything below 1ohm, thats not that great, because subs and peoples systems change all the time, well mine do, to a day to day basis, and for someone like me i need a amp to do lots of power at either 1ohm or .5ohm, now question will the amps do .5ohm daily?

What about running an amp at the impedance load it's rated for?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/scared.gif.f134e57c6c93ccd0f15aa5ac32c7d4a0.gif

i cant think of too many companies that will tell you flat out .5 is OK and they will warranty that. Not even your beloved Sundown amps. Will they and probably be OK? Yup and so will the RF. I COMFORTABLY run mine at .7 every day and have for 2 years.

you heard they blow easy, i heard they dont. I know they dont. Have they? just like any brand yes.........but is it common, no. Even if one does, if its under warranty, RF has some of the BEST CS i have ever experienced.

Yeah if i did that i would be buying a different amp everytime i pissed, come on i dont keep shit long, always switching it up, but i need a big 1ohm amp, so im going to look into a RF 4000,

actually this thread is anti rockford and wasnt JUST about the T15k, thats just the topic since i came in here. Everyone was b!tichen about RF in general.....so thats why i brought that up.

Ya the T15k is more then a dollar a watt MSRP. So is Zapco. Zapco is more then 2dollars a watt and Zapco is the SHIT too. (ever price MSRP on a 9.0 or even worse a 4kw?) IF you want the SHIT you gotta pay for it sometime and thats beside the fact these amps are BARELY out of prototype stage but still in VERY limited quantities.

Well thats good to know, i want a amp that is versitile, i hate spending alot of money on amps, if there only good for a 1ohm or 2ohm load, you dont have the option of expanding or changing the sub stage, or adding more subs down the road!

Do you know if they plan on trying to mass produce the t15k? By that I mean available through retail channels.

I agree that if you want the cutting edge technology, you have to pay for it. However, I'd rather pay less for a plain old tried and true amp and get some other toys with it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
