No voltage at Remote Lead?

All of my wires are connected to another wire expect a black and white one that doesn't work( I tested it with my rem wire). I have no voltage from the blue wire right from the head unit. I should get an inline fuse from the rem wire to inline fuse to remwire connected to switch and then connected to amp? What would this do?

sorry, i didn't know if you had any voltage at all

still use a fuse, tho, if you're doing a direct wire
