Amp issue

Is it possible to just have 1 channel in a multi-channel amp that has an issue to where you can't get rid of the alternator whine?

I have tried the whole amp tutorial; and changed RCA's, rerouted them, re-grounded at the head unit and amp, but for some reason 1 channel still, and only that 1 channel gets the whine. I'm thinking it's pointing to the amp.

What is the cause of this? Is there a cure?
