No 2 ohm comp sets? Or DVC comps?

The increase in power delivered is usually offset by the decrease in efficiency because of the reduced length of wire in the magnetic gap and the corresponding decrease in motor strength. Roughly half the wire means roughly half the Bl means roughly half the efficiency. Since no amps actually make 2x the power into half the load the overall result is a loss in output despite an increase in power.

- Bingo, this is true.... it's harder to make a 2 ohm speaker as efficient. It's a sales gimmick.
