Nine.1 Protect mode???

I need some help fellas. I haven't driven my car in about a week as I've been riding the duck. Last weekend when I drove it all was well....car sat all week and last night I was going out to eat and I had no sub output and my check engine light was on. Got to where i was going checked the amp and it is in protect mode. Any ideas? So what could cause my check engine and my protect mode to come on? Gains are set at just below half.

could be a wire fault or just a coincidence that the engine light comes on at the same time your amp take's a dump! is it in protect everytime you try it

**** site crashed LOL......I'm going to check the wires when I get home from work today. It only was on and I checked it twice between 2 hours, so it could have been a fluke. Just seemed odd that both happened at the same exact time.

Got it figured out. **** ground wire got loose somehow. Still not sure what is up with the engine light (thinking oxygen sensor).
