nine.1 problem

When I got my new nine.1 and nine.2 amps from ed i noticed that there was a rattling noise on the inside of the nine.1 when i picked it up. It sounded like a loose screw, but the nine.2 was fine. I sent an e-mail to ed about it and they told me i could send it back and they would ship a new one. Well i just got the new amp today and it does the same exact thing. im wondering if its supposed to do this? or will it hurt the amp when i hook it up?

I know i have the 3 year warrenty and i'd feel like a real d-bag sending two amps back because they were really nice people to deal with

no because I thought that whatever is rattling inside would cause them to get all messed up. i wont be able to power it up for another week or 2 because the strat is getting worked on.

are you sure they didn't send you back the original amp? i know when i got my nine.1 DOA, they said to just send it back and they'd ship me out a new one. Well about a month later i got the same amp back but repaired and they put a few very light scratches on it. the reason i know that it was the same one is that i left the mounting feet on and put a little mark near one of them. sure enough same amp back even though i was told that i'd get a new one. i also posted about it on isux and sure enough it was deleted almost immediately. it pissed me off enough that i sold every piece of eD equipment i owned except for my 15a (still love this woof). anyway, just thought i'd share my experience with my nine.1.

Thats pretty typical of ed. Its unfortunate that you can't get any help from that forum, because they lock every thread like that.

Man its sorry to see eD doing that to its customers. It didnt' always used to be like that with them, used to have top notch C/S IMO. Regardless, they do make one hell ova sub.

If that amp has something rattling around in it I wouldn't bother hooking it up. Did you by chance write down the serial # before sending it back? If not, write it down this time and send it back.

They used to take preorders and never send the sub, so this isnt nearly as bad as what they used to do. And their subs **** too.
