next set up ideas?

well i sold the RE HC and BX1500D and now i donno what i want next, im going to have 1 12" subwoofer and i just want it budget, i was thinking a 12 CVR and a profile amp that does about 420 RMS................or should i go w/ a type R and if i do what amp would be good for it?

or any other ideas?

if your gona use a nice amp like that get a better sub...its like using zapco amps on pyle subs..look into fi car audio..they got some great prices..

what Scott had to say about the Q vs the HC

"The HC was a great sub. It dropped deep and played clean, but was lacking on Xmax, especially compared to the Q. The Q qould get a little louder overall than the HC and sound as good or better doing it. The only thing the HC would have on the Q is playing deep with lower power... but once Xmax on the HC is reached, the Q will keep on pushing things for quite a ways more.

Yes, they are both rated the same thermally, but the HC does have less Xmax and will go non-linear faster in the same box than the Q will. It wont blow up or have issues with that, simply that distortion will start to set in earlier. While we rate the Q at 1000W RMS, it can handle a little more power for musical peaks (but not 2000W "
