Newbie Wiring Question

I am pretty new to wiring car stereo stuff with only very basic experience and looking for some help. I picked up 2 JL Audio 8w6's in a ported box with a JL 300/2 amp.

Question #1 - Is this a powerful enough amp to run these speakers? The JL Audio website says the 8w6 have a Pt of 200w.

Question #2 - What is the best way to wire the speakers? Just a standard one channel to each speaker or series or parallel? I am not even 100% sure what series or parallel mean.

Yeah that amp will work very well with those speakers. You should not be robbed of power. The speakers have 200w RMS and the amp can push out 100-300w RMS.

Wiring is easy. When I had a two channel amp I just wired them in stereo. I would recommend wiring them in parallel (bridged) because that will give you the most power from your amp. If you want wiring diagrams I bet there are some on here and http://www.rockfordfosgate.com has a wiring wizard.

Wire your subs parallel/series and bridge the amp. Your final load will be 3-ohms and each sub will get 150 rms.
