Newbie Question

I like hard hitting bass. I have a camaro with a sealed box that holds 2 10s.

I was looking at Damond Audio DX10D4 or Alpine SWX-1042D to fill it powered with Hifonics BX1605D. I was also going to get 6.5" components for my front and rears. All suggestions are welcome. I really didn't want to buy another box i'm on a budget. I listen to Rap. Thanks

At least thanks for telling us everything we need to know... Except for exactly what your budget is. How much do you want to spend? How big is the box? I can have an answer after you tell me that.

Seeing as you listen to rap you'd be a guy that wants it to be LOUD and sound alright, as opposed to sounds good but not as loud?

The box is prefab that i got for free. My buget for the subs are around max 300 each. Amp, i really would like to stay under 400. Thanks

Measure the internal dimensions of the box. . . We need to know how mnay cubic feet it is internally.

Is that $400 total or $700 total?

anyway- so youre telling me the total is $1,000? and you have a prefab...

honestly they build prefabs for people who are uneducated in the box building procedure... and those who are uneducated in the box building procedure don't usually go balls-to-the-wall with $1k in subs and amps.

That being said, I would suggest building a new box, unless you are sure that your box is solid.

As far as 10s go, they aren't really the typical size of subs. Subs usually are best in the 12-18 inch range.

suggestion1) build a new box for two 12's/15's, buy some of the typical elite subs that are going around now (Avalanche 15, SoundSplinter 12/15, etc etc) and run them sealed.

suggestion2) buy the best 10's you can find (i dont know what they are) and pop them in.

In either case the amplifier is going to depend on how much power you need.
