Newbie Question

need some basic help here... i got this out of my HU installation manual

1)yellow wire (Bus power lead) - connect directly to the battery

2)red wire (power lead)- accessory (+) 12V

3)orange/white (illumination lead) - connect it to the car power supply terminal for illumination.

just need a confirmation that the yellow wire (no.1) and orange/white (no.3) actually goes to in the (+) terminal??? and no. 2 connects to the lead thats powered when the ignition's turned on rite???

Depends on your car, the instructions with my HU said you may need to swap the two or you will loose the memory, all I can sat is trial and error. You have everything correct excepting #3.

That wire connects to the corresponding wire in your vehicle's factory harness so that your aftermarket head unit's display will dim when you turn your headlights on the same as the stock head unit did.
