real quick question iam building a new system for my ride ... ive got my amps and everything all need is my subz there going to be kicker L7 10"s 2 of them , the amp is a alipne mrd-m1005 which is a mono channel amp with 1000 rms power actually 1207 rms true from alpine.. but my question is since it is a mono channel amp and i want to run (2) subwoofers off of this amp do the qwoofers need to be dual 2ohm voice coils or dual 4ohm voice coils ???? any help is appreciated guys i would like to order these asap just not sure how i nee dthe voice coils dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm??

I don't believe that amp is 1 Ohm stable, so you will want to get 2 2ohm DVC subs so that you can wire so the amp sees 2 Ohm.

look at voicecoil wiring options sticky on the site, two 4ohm subs can wire down to 1ohm or 4ohm, and two 2ohm subs can wire to .5 or 2ohm. Look on the amp specs and see what the amp puts out the most power at whichever ohmage, and go from there.

I think that amp is stable down to 1 ohm.....

Get the Dual 2ohm. So you can run a 2 ohm load.

edit: I dont think the amp is 1ohm stable

haha yeah i wasnt sure if it was 1 ohm stable or not, like everyone said look at the specs first

guys thanks so much for your help you people are awesome... the amp is not stable down to 1ohm so i ordered (2) dual 2 ohm subs is this right? and since its 1000rms will they each get 500rms? birth reciept says 1129rms so they will each get half of that? thanks for all ur help guys!
