Ok guys. Im looking for a sq setup. I'm on a budget of 400. I allready have a 12'' Alpine type-r in a sealed enclosure and an autotek 1500watt monoblock. I'm looking for this as far as tweeters, mids, highs. Something to achieve amazing sound. any helps is appreciated. thanks.

For anything 400$ isn't much, let alone "sq"... You can definitely find something that sounds good, but SQ is about high end equipment and knowing what you're doing.

So, you're saying you have 400$ to spend on speakers and an amp?

I agree with miker, it is going to be really hard for you to find anything worth your time at that price. That amp you have for that type R is really to much for it if it can actually put out that type of power and is going to put a strain on you alt. If you really want to try to achieve some sq and not break the bank, your going to want to down grade your sub and amp so you can have enough power to run a second amp for your hi's. If your sure about not spending much try JBL GTO speakers

ok, so im not sure why you would want to sell your sub if you want to make a good sounding system, its rather difficult to get any bass out of a pair of 6.5s.

if you want to stay relatively cheep and have something that sounds decent look into crescendo ccx65, not insanely high end or super clean but they are about 100 bucks.

for an amp you could look into the 4 chan vibe lite box, not that expensive and are pretty solid.

and by the way, tweeters are highs. or are you looking to to tweets, midrange drivers and midbass drivers

also what exact sub amp are you running.

I might catch some flame - but I have had good luck with some pro audio type drivers from parts express.

they come in all sizes ( round sizes tho ) to most appropriately fit your factory locations.

im just tryin to keep you on track with your budget... it can be done

I got lucky in my pickup truck - as the front uses stupid 4x6" speakers - and I got a pair of bass blockers that cut 150hz and lower off to them.

it actually allows about 30w of power to them while still sounding clean enough , vs before the bass blockers they could only take about 10w of un altered signal before bass distorting. - but I hate 4x6 speakers the most. they are the worst design ever ever ever maby.
