Newbie, need help selecting the right sub

Hi guys,

I've been lurking for a while trying to soak up some knowledge but my head still spins every time I start looking at subwoofer specs. I'm hoping for a little guidance.

I have a 24' open bow boat. It has a Sony CDX-M50ip with iPod control and Sirius radio. I replaced the speakers with Infinity 6.5" 602M's and added an Infinity 7541a amp to push them.

Now I need to add some thump. I may have jumped the gun, but I bought an Infinity 611a mono amp that puts out 456w at 4 ohms and 657w at 2 ohms. I have room for one 10" sub and a sealed box of about .75 to 1 cf. I am not an audiophile and am looking for strong bass so I would say SPL is more important than SQ. I would like to spend $100 or less.

I have been looking at an Alpine SWR-1042D http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/product.php?model=SWR-1042Dthinking that might be a good match for my system.

chris, the sub picked would be fine, however in you description you sain spl, not sq. on a boat with one 10, you are going to get lowend reinforcement, I don't think spl ( loud) is going to happen. just my 0.02

space-wise it requires 0.50 - 1.00 cu. ft. which is right within your range of .75 to 1 cf.

That's really more than I wanted to spend. Plus it looks like the power rating is a lot lower than what my amp is capable of producing.
