newbie asking same wiring question

just need some clarification. I have 2 dual 4 ohms sub and have a alpine mrp850 amp. 500@ 4 ohms and 800@ 2 ohms. my question is say, is it possible to wire each sub individually to make it to 2 ohms each to the amp rather than parallel/parallel? been bugging the **** out of me trying to figure this out. pretty much what I'm trying to see is if its possible to wiring up 2 dvc 4 ohms subs like I'm wiring 1 dvc 4 to 2 ohms. thank in advance.

i wouldnt wire it to 1 ohm. the amp could probably handle it but it would def. hurt it one way or another. i'd try selling your alpine and finding an amp that is 1 ohm stable. in the mean time you will just have to run it at 4 ohms i guess

d9s are only 2 ohm stable strapped i run them @.5 .. depends on the application.. and witht he subs and amp he has.. might as well get some good midbass if hes going to run 4 ohms.. or just new equipment
