single blue subwoofer input?

how does this work? do i need a special cable to plug into my red and white rca's on my amp or do i just use one side? i just bought a jenson phase linear u7i from a guy at work for 70 dollars and i was wondering how to hook up the subwoofer properly.

the amp has a red and white input for rca's,however the new head unit has a single blue output

in that case just use an RCA Y-splitter, or just run an rca from the output on the HU to the red for the amp. almost all songs have the bass as being mono (unless you listen to older stuff where the different tracks are on separate channels) so it wouldn't be an issue to not have both channels plugged in.

or look on the amp it prolly says on the input plugs mono and just run the single rca you dont need a y splitter
