newbie 500/1 help

Im good at installing making crap ect...but I **** when it comes to knowing all about the settings on amps as far as crossovers ect.

If I were a JL 500/1 running a 10 inch Kicker L5 What would I want to set the filter frequency at on the crossover.

It is being run off of a Kenwood KDC X790 (another topic in its own on the different high mid and low pass filters)

Also anyone have any links to tutorials about how to learn about the different frequency settings. Thanks!!

the best thing to do is play a song with good bass and tune your system that way. is this for a ported or sealed box?

Sealed box...1.25 cu feet that should be around 1 cu feet after the sub displacement. These **** JL amps and all their controls are just confusing the hell outta me.

yeah jl have alot of onboard controls.with a sealed box you'll have a litlle more leway on the settings.if your not fimiliar with Q and LPF,sub sonic freq. set them all about half way then adjust each one individually till you get the best sound.
