new vehicle color: white,silver, or black? opinions please

the interior was grey and vinyl, plus dark colors absorb more heat so the color of the car has to factor in.

he has a olds 88 with the 3800 II engine and his parents got it in 95 it has like 130,xxx miles on it and they have already got it changed 4 times.

on the 4th one now.

exterior color does not change the heat factor. Interior color, on the other hand...

how do you figure, black attracts heat, so the vehicle will attract more heat to it and the interior will get hotter

i read a study a while ago saying it really didn't make much of a difference.

but yeah interior will make a huge difference if your legs get scolded by molten hot cowhide.

Black cars are hotter.

well i have never had a problem with my 3800 engine before

damm thats slike 4k in repairs.

and its not 4k, it takes about 2 hours to change a head gasket on your own if you know what your doing and you have the tools.

and if you do it your self, at the most your gonna spend about 60$

My car's black and it looks great but because I live in CA it can get hot inside. I think it looks the best but the most difficult to keep clean as a lot of things show up easily.

when i had subs in my trunk of my black 01 taurus on hot days they didn't hit as hard so the heat factored in on the trunk interior and sub cone i guess.

well i live in michigan and it doesn get super hot here, but in the winter it sucks because the salt they put on the roads make your vehicle look like shit

oh ****, because a guy with a bmw did a crappy test in the dealership parking lot...i was totally wrong.

thanks for the info - now I can go buy that black car I've been dreamin' of but never bought because it got SO much hotter..
