...I don't get it.3800 engines are good.but oil leaks are a pain in the *** and quite common with them.
i dont know what that means, and have always held up. have you ever had a 3800 engine. rated in the top 5 engines of all time. i have a friend who has a 95 bonneville w/ 324k on the clock and the only thing he has replaced other then routine maitenance was a water pump and a tie rod. thing runs like a champ, still has good power, gets good gas mileage, and there is no noises, knocks, lifter noise. nothing.pontiacs are horrible with residual value. don't hold up. guzzle gas (except the 4cyc models). bad crash tests.
etc
etc
with my bonneville (93) i never had any oil leaks, only problem i had was my master cylinder seal went bad and it leaked brake fluid. i would add about a 1/2 quart a week. because at the time i didnt wanna replace it, but in the long run it cost more to keep putting the brake fluid in then to replace the master cylinder3800 engines are good.but oil leaks are a pain in the *** and quite common with them.
i love the look of a blacked out car. a girl i went to highschool with now has a blacked out grand prix. its an 04 black w/ black tinted windows and it looks great. now to truly black it out you gotta throw some black rims on there tooSeems like you already know of the maintenance of a black vehicle. Black looks very sexy when clean and really shiny. It has a nice reflection to it. Black looks even better when the windows match the car, blacked out.
yeah thats how its always been for me, and as long as i stay away from leather then the interior wont take to much of a toll. my bonneville had leather crackin out the *** from all the sun it got.black... but the interior of the car will absorb all the heat and be like a sauna on hot days.
i believe it was in motor trend. i will try and look it upI'm not out to start a crap fest cuz we all like different things but are you serious about
"rated in the top 5 engines of all time"
?
I couldn't even guess what organization or magazine would say that kind of thing.
yeah and i dont want the same thing. i think im gonna stick with black as i love it and cant see me driving a different color vehicleI had a similar conundrum several months ago.. Every vehicle I ever owned was black, and I wanted something less labor intensive to keep clean as my daily driver. I ended up buying a white 08 Impala SS.
On the up side its nice because it doesn't show the dirt, rain/dew residue, or little bumps and scratches caused from parking lots nearly as bad as a black car. I wash it maybe once every 2-3 weeks and it still looks good. Unfortunately it really doesn't grab your eye. If you're accustomed to a sharp looking ride its a bit of a let down. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably go with another black one.
I gotta agree with 95BlackGA & StubbedMyToe, silver is the way to go if you want something that looks good and is easy to keep clean.
is that a good or a bad thing?and you know +1 for gm having dex cool and plastic head gasket covers.
bad because dex cool is shit and just another way for them to make moneyis that a good or a bad thing?
