New type R comps compared to Old type R comps?

What are the main differences? They can both be had for about the same price on ebay. I was just wondering if there were any main reasons to pick one set over the other.

My work just got a pair of them in. There going to install them into the new demo car. I'm very curious to how they'll sound as well. Looks like an overall good speaker build from Alpine.
