New type Enclosure

****in sweet!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif ^ what the link for those?

So guys, tell us all why it won't work then? Airspace is airspace correct? The strongest type of enclosure is a cylinder, correct? I see ports that appear to be able to be cut down in length if necessary as well, tunable = yes. If it is made out of ABS, aluminum or fibreglass, it is going to be stronger than mdf and lighter than mdf. This is all with me only looking at the pics posted on this thread and not visiting the site itself. Think outside of the box and what you consider the norm. Back 20 years ago almost a company named Bazooka came to the market with a tube sub, while it was not the best thing on the planet, it worked real good and as it was promised to. Look at the company that Bazooka is today. People have and do compete with their tubes and have yeilded good results over the years. Time to visit the site next.
FYI, the comments I read were exactly the same type of comments made when bandpass boxes hit the market. Those on the forum older than 30 years old might remember that. Those under, not a chance.

I agree with this guy. These new enclosures should be taken seriously, even though they look different, physics doesn't lie.

well, the STRONGEST type of enclosure would be a sphere, not a cylinder. Cylinders DO make good enclosures though, they just aren't practical for most applications.

That graph DBB posted should tell it all at the bottom, Ratings are for comparison purposes and not a numeric representation Just pretty stars at the bottom for you to ASSUME it means something.

look at this: All enclosures are designed using Aluminium Alloys and MDF Wood . These precision crafted enclosures produce the finest, most linear bass because they are infinitely tunable and have unsurpassed thermal management.

boy, they made some broad assumptions and there's a bit of markeneering in there too.

Buy one, test run it then we all can talk smack //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. Or eat our own foot. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I agree that the marketing needs some work as there are gaps wide enough for 20 fat chicks to come through. For the few of us that know better we all can agree that their is some merit to the design. For those that do not know any better, well your comments at the start of the thread are a little pointless. My bad on the cylinder - sphere overrsight as well, thanks for the FYI.

NO prob, cylinders are MUCH easier to make, pvc, sewer pipe, concrete forms, etc. I've only seen smaller drivers in spheres. Cones tend to work well, with the same type of difficulty in production.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

ill stick with my bazooka's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

and you can retune a ported enclosure, if it has multiple

tube/flared ports. just keep pluging ports to tune lower.
