to keep the barrel under 18" you cant have it registered as a RIFLE , this is legally a "Pistol"

you can if you register it as a SBR with the atf

burton.. yeah.. pretty much.

if you have anything less than a 18" barrel it means jail time if you get caught "modifying a firearm"...

however.. if you have no stock (solid OR collapsible) it becomes a pistol.. and barrel length, ammo capacity, etc is all flexible. GOTTA love the laws.. i can carry this CONCEALED with my CW permit in a trenchcoat if need be... BUT GOT FORBID a cop sees a 22 Revolver in my glovebox without a case or holster.

Yeah laws are wierd... Why don't you just register it as a rifle though and then you can mod it... unless you really want to have it be concielable (sp?) haha
