so i just bought my first system, not sure about some things just looking for some people to tell me what they think, if its good or bad and stuff like that. here is whats going to be my setup. Would also like to know HOW to run them been reading on it but it confuses me .

Amp- SoundStorm (SSL) EVO5000.1 . meant to buy a soundstream but got them mixed up. need to know if this is anygood and if it will run the subs i got.

Subs - 2x JBL S3-1224

Box - Atrend 12DQV

Wires - TruConnex TC4KIT-0B - Belva BBIC5

you will probably only see maybe 1500+ watts imo out of that amp? when you buy amps you want to look for the rated RMS wattage at a certain OHM you plan on running.

stay away from anything that says peak or max watts.

the box is 1.45 each chamber not including the displacement of your sub and is tuned to 40 hz. you wont hit the lows and everything will sound a bit higher freq bass.

the subs are decent imo. 500 rms and 1500 wax should match up good for the amp tho.

but

it says on the specs that the optimum ported box volume is 2.5 cubes. the box you have is only 1.45 each. so your box is smaller then recommended for ported.

thank you for responding. but yea i didnt have any1 to ask about any of this and was kinda in a hurry to order. but could u possibly tell me what box i should get for my subs? and maybe a diffrent amp around the same price thats good.

cscstang will make you a box . and it will be much better than any box youll ever buy online or in stores. hit him up.

see if you can return the box and amp. without a restocking fee. although you may have to pay your own shipping.

you def dont need that box and could actually do better on a amp with $50 more than you spent on that soundstorm

oh i thought you had everything. well i that case. if you have not gotten anything i think we could do much better then.

def have a box MADE for you from someone on this site. dont buy boxes offline. they are almost always to small and tuned to high.

if you can get everything canceled. do so and i think you can get better suggestions from people here on what to get. we can get you better gear and give suggestions on what you should go with. try and cancel the order and well help you out.

i appreciate that but due to my circumstances if i dont buy the stuff now im gunna end up spending the money on other things, and im getting a new vehicle this week so would like to have everything ready, im sure i could get the amp swapped out and if theres a decent box online i could cancel the one i orderd and go with that,

Might be better off buying a pre-fab enclosure for 2 15s cap it an put 2 10s in it that's about the only way to get a pre-fab enclosure to have the right air space lol

Those subs are a lotta money for what you're getting.

Get one of these and a real amp, I think lanzar had/has some good deals on optidrive amps. You'll prob be happier with a good box on one 12 than 2 12's in an undersized box.

Always ask the forum before ordering useless bricks.

If you have a screw gun, screws, wood glue and a jigsaw, you can build your own box for less than 40$ thats 10000x better than what you buy online. Get a box plan, have home depot make ALL the cuts, take the wood home, glue and screw. Viola, you are done
