Hello to all reading this and thank you for taking time out to reply if you do, tremendously appreciated. I have a 2003 Infiniti G35 coupe. Wanted to put a system in it...went to a wholesale car audio place and bought 2 2XL-1204D 12" Subwoofer by PowerBass in a sealed Ported box and an 1800 Watt DB Hypnotic amp. Had to put the subs in the backseat because the trunk is too small to hold the box. It sounds great but I have some questions. I am a sucker for super loud bass. I would like to put something in this car that will really make it boom. The guy who installed it just spliced off the Bose speakers that are in the back of the car, since the stock cd player is all one piece of the dash. What would be the best buy to get my car really knockin and sound great? I have always wanted some 15s but I am afraid that because the car is so small, of cracking glass or doing something to the car. If I got some 15s and lets say a 2000-2500 watt amp, would I be possibly able to blow glass? Sorry for all these questions, I am just a total noob when it comes to this stuff

Oh boy.....

lol why do you say that?
Hmmmm... You really are a nooblet! Lol! But we were all there once. So what i'd do if I were you is get the subs out of the backseat! They need to go in the trunk. Give a box guy like pro-rabbit or double07 on here your trunk measurements and they'll help you out. They're really not bad entry level subs. And your "ported sealed" comment has me confused. It can't be both. it's one or the other.

Also if you can't fit 12's you certainly can't fit 15's. They take about double the space to be properly run. You'd also need a whole lot of electrical work done before you consider 2500 watts. Also, you're not going to break glass any time soon. Lol! You've got to push a lot of watts to break a windshield. You're not even close and you wouldn't be till you spend around 3-4k on a HO alternator, other electrical upgrades, amps and subwoofers (possible more but I'm not an SPL guy).

You wouldn't come anywhere close to blowing out glass. Anybody who has told you they blew out their windows is lying. Theres people with 8+ 15s on 15,000+ watts who dont even come close to cracking their windshield.

If you can't fit 12s in your trunk, you're not going to be able to fit 15s, and it will be a waste putting them in the cabin unless you plan on walling it off. If I were you, I'd get a nice pair of 10s on 2k watts in a good custom box and you'll be happy. Since you're new, it will sound pretty **** loud to you.

Your gonna wanna be ready to drop some cash. Check out fi car audio great stuff imo. Change head unit. I would stick to 2 12s. More cone area than a single 15=more bass. Take some measurements and report back. And wire is important. Youll learn about sizes too. 0awg is preferred.

Sealed - ported enclosures don't exist... unless something new has been designed that I don't know about.. so you are running these off a stock stereo? I don't know what these other people had said to you, didn't read the replies but... I really think you should get an aftermarket stereo. There more sound options with something like that.. is this your first system?
