I recently installed rockford fosgate p1683 in the 4 doors of my 2007 ext cab ranger, followed with an alpine UTE-73BT head unit. Next was 1/0 gauge ofc big 3 upgrade. The truck has a 135 amp alternator as well. I just picked up a skar audio svr 12 dual 2 ohm sub in a ported box wired to 1 ohm( 800 watt rms) and a skar rp1200.1 amp 1200 watt rms at 1 ohm. The amp wire kit is a 4 gauge ofc kit from recoil (same as the big 3 kit) I am looking for amp mounting ideas to mount the amp and 2.5k farad capacitor. Any help is appreciated

Where will your box be mounted? Do you have an amp for your front speakers? A 4g power wire is going to put a little strain on your sub amp at high volume, so adding another amp on that wire would be a little questionable.

The only thing that will have an amp is the sub that will be behind the passenger seat. Nothing else is/will be wired to it except the capacitor. The 4 rockford fosgates are not using an amp, just wired direct to the head unit. The manufacturer recommended a 4 gauge wire kit as the amp will not accept a larger gauge wire

There are a couple areas to mount the amp. You can mount it against that little wall that's just under jump seat. You can mount it under one of the jump seats, but you might want to flush mount it in a box to protect it. You can mount it under one of the front seats, but part of the amp might stick out the back. OR... you can mount it against the plastic trim that's just under the rear window. If you build a nice little box to flush mount the amp in, can look good there.
