new to car audio

hey im pretty new at this car audio deal, so i dont really know what to look for, but does anyone know if the Visonik VB212PKG package is worth buying? im a little strapped on cash, only gonna be able to spend around 400. just want something that will hit decent, but not enough to kill me...just a deck, amp subs box, pretty basic. any suggestions would be great

Just read all you can and Shop E-Bay.

$400.00 Can get you a good HU and Speakers. The amp is going to be touchy but there are deals on used stuff. Be sure you understand why your buying it.

save yourself some grief and dont buy anything from visonik...the only made like one good amp, ever.

for $400, that will about cover a head unit and maybe if you stretch it a sub and home made box....looking in the classifieds on this fourm might help you...some people give good deals, some people are out to **** you or they think they have something worth more than it is, and then wonders why it doesnt sell.

But if you look around and shop a bit, you might find some gems in the rough.

oh and you might want to mention what kinda vehicle this is going in.

If you got a hatchback or something similar, maybe something like a 10" bazooka tube with the amp built in it already might be a great idea for you....that way you dont have to worry about making the box right, its already done for you and the amp is stuffed in it as a unit.

i would say study the crap out of yourself, this site could be a decent help, and save your money, save more money, wait till you got yourself a good $800 or more, and ask questions and get something you'll truely not regret, or at least for a few years...

what i'm guessing will happen to you is that you'll spend the $400 on some junk, then want to buy something nice later and spend a grand on it so your first $400 was a complete waste...so do it right the first time...otherwise it'll cost you more in the long run...
