I have a Clarion DXZ775USB deck, front and rear Alpine Type-S 6 1/2 speakers.I want the subs to hit hard but I don't want to sacrafice SQ. I was planning on spending around $1000 on the subs and amps alone. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Deck is fine, but I'd ditch the speakers.

Here's what I would do for $1000

Comps: Pioneer S-C720 PRS: $250

Rear Fill:Pioneet REV 6.5s $75

Sub:SSA Icon 15: $270

Amp:Elemental Designs Nine.5: $350

That adds up to $945 before shipping. Shipping for the comps and rear fill is $36 total shipped to vancouver. The Nine.5 price includes shipping to canada. The SSA Icon price includes free shipping in the conus, but has an extra charge for canada. Should still come in at around $1000. Maybe just a tad more

You could shoot Denim a PM on here. He should be able to tell you what the extra shipping charge would be for the ICON.

Also, that amp puts out well below the RMS spec of the sub, but if you put it in a ported box, you should get plenty loud for a decent daily driver. You don't want it to drown out your front stage. Should all go together very nicely.

No problem. I guarantee you will be impressed if you buy that stuff and install it right. However, I would definitely recommend upping your budget a little and buying some sound deadener. Will GREATLY improve the sound of your system.

Otherwise, look at SecondSkin Damplifier. http://www.secondskinaudio.com More expensive than Raamat for the roll, but since they have dealers in your area, cutting out the shipping cost might even it out.
