I am about to install a kicker l7 15in sub and a Hifonics bxi 2006d amp(wired at 2 ohms about 1100 watts) with a Panasonic CQ-C8413U head unit. My question is am i going to need to upgrade my electrical system, or anything elese?

Honestly its hard to tell. Someone with more experience with that amp may be able to give you a more accurate answer. Good news is that the hifonics is a class d amp, and a good bit more efficient. I would recommend doing the big 3 (located here: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=152355 ) just in case regardless. You should be fine with just that if anything at all.

I would at the least get a good battery, like a Optima Yellowtop, or Kinectik HC800.

I wouldn't go with anything less than a HC1400 to crank and power a system.

I'd do the BIG3 and then see how bad your dimming is at the volumes you'll listen to 90% of the time. Then go from there if it's too bad...
