I have an appointment to get my system installed at 12 pm. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

10" W6V2 4 ohms DVC ( i exchanged my W3 V3 4 ohms SVC ) with a RF Punch series P400.1 amp. Alpine SPR-17s component set up front with Tweetz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif RF punch series

1694 in the back. I have an alpine F-250 4 channel amp running the four corners. A kenwood KDC-MP832U head unit. I have 8 gauge amp wiring kit for my RF P400.2 amp and 10 guage amp wiring kit for my alpine F-250 amp. Last but not least im getting dynamat installed in the trunk and they said that a trunk kit will cover the trunk with some left over and they are going to dyna mat the doors for the components up front. My little 04 civic coupe Dx is gonna have some thump in the trunk! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Its a learning experance. My first system took me 4 hours to install all the wiring(8 awg kit). On this install it took me 3 hours to install all the wires and big 3, and big 3 took a while(small engine compartment). I found out it goes alot faster with practice.

i would like to learn how to put my own system in, but i will do it myself on my next car. i am going to get a new car in about a year or two and i'll install the system in that car on my own. But i got my system installed at Best buy. I added one more thing to the set up though, a 1 farad RF cap. The install looks good. everything is well hidden. only thing that you can see (that looks aftermarket ) is the head unit and the tweeters from the SPR-17s set. I have my RF amp and RF cap under the passenger seat and the Alpine f-250 amp under the driver seat. the wiring is all hidden away. I stuck with 8 gauge and 10 gauge wiring, the guy at Best buy said that 8 gauge is fine, he said i won't notice a difference with a bigger gauge ( except the fact that the wire is bigger). My compents and 6x9 are in stock locations. But the system sound good. the bass hits hard and the highs are sharp. I am soo happy.

X2

but, firstly, the capacitor is completely useless, they have actually been known to make things worse, and are kinda like sticking a band aid on a broken arm...

congratulations on buying your paper weight //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

also, you will notice a massive difference with larger cable, if you need it...

does that mean you ended up with an 8ga cable, and a 10ga? or, just the 8ga?
