New system

I recently installed a full system in my car with 4 infinity ref 6 1/2's, 2 infin amps, and a kicker solo baric L5.

The solo baric blew on me, TWICE. i decided to get my cash back and go with a diff sub.

All i can say is WHOLY SH!T! My new sub pounds, and has the most amazing bass quality i have heard.

I got a 12inch Alpine-Type X... power rated at 1,000watts RMS and up to 3,000watts peak...****!

i forgot to ask....my sub mono amp has hp and lp...at what freq do you think i should keep these at? the gain and bass boost was turned up to the halfway mark on the amp by the isntaller... i dont remember on what freq did he put hte hp and lp on.

I just bought an Alpine type R 12" sub, I wounder how it will compare to the type X. They both can be had off the net brand new for dirt cheap. What price did you get the X for? The box looks like the one I saw at Best Buy. The saleman said a custom box would make that sub come alive. He really did not want to promote that encloser for such a nice sub.

that box looks a little small for it...maybe its just the pic, but really nice install glad your happy with it i've been meaning to hear a type x for quit some time...make a video and put it on realmofexursion.com

Nice install. The tpe x is a sweet sq sub. A little lower for spl than is little brother the type R. Both are nice though. If I had the money would have went with the X as well for the sq. But hell I am a broke b-i-t-c-h!

ill most likely record a video tomorrow morning and send it to that site and post it here as well. my cousin has brand new type R and it totally blown away by this sub...in SQ and SPL...lots of peopel already said its the best soudning bass they heard

its a Qlogic prefab box, selectable ported or sealed.

Yeah the more I look at that box it looks a little small. But by alpine specs they dont take a ton of air so maybe a little bit bigger box and you should get better output.
