Well I have a pretty good idea of what I'll be getting here in a few weeks.

And the list goes...

2 Stereo Integrity Magnum D2 12"

US Amps 1000X

Eclipse CD3413 CD Receiver

Ported box for the 12's is going to be made in by a trusted dealer (not around my area for sure)

For the fronts, going with MB Quart for sure, just haven't made any decisions plus a US Amp to power them.

I was going to go with Precision Power Amps. Loved them in the past. I never could afford US Amps and in my opinion they're top notch. Won't budge on that.

What part of Ohio are you from?

That should be a nice setup. I do think you'll like the US Amp. I wouldnt regard it as top notch but still they are nice. The D2's arent shabby subs from what I've heard...I've yet to take the time and effort to test them myself.

I've used quite a few PPI's over the years and I liked them back in the day...really don't impress me for the price anymore.

As far as the US AMP, man i remember the VLX-400. I was a bit awestuck at the time when most amps were claiming lots of wattage, peak wattage. This monster amp was powering the 18" Cerwin Vega Stroker and man did that amp handle that sub like a piece of cake. I'm not an expert at this stuff, the guy who was running it owned one of the better audio shops in NW PA. He told me, man I will not even try to power this sub with anything but a US AMP. Then i started hearing it more and more from dealers that didn't even sell the amp. So I heard as proof other brands like PPI on different subs. Not one could do the job the VLX-400 could.

But that's not a challenge to others opinions, just my own.

I'm going on the likes of this forum for the Magnum D2. Since I can't hear them in person I'm gonna take the risk. I'm sure I'll be happy.

Today I have a number of amps I'd put up against a US Amp...but thats really not saying much because they are all mad power machines.

BTW to make a shop suggestion.

If your looking to get a good professional install and willing to pay ... a reasonable fair amount. Go to Auto Sound and Security on RT 20 in Willoughby. By far the best shop in the area...IMO.

The shops out in Ash county sure do **** though...I agree with that
