So it isn't a show car... I get it. It is no more difficult to do the install properly. Fasten the amp to the box... why would you run a wire that was too short? I just don't get it....

EXACTLY. people just don't understand that TEMPORARY means that you DON'T want to get something completely lookign nice since you are taking care of some stuff so that you can make it better. god dayum why is this so difficult? he OBVIOUSLY wants to hear some bass while he's getting everything else lined up, thus it is TEMPORARY.

A fire huh?? I seriously doubt it. I've mounted it like that for a long time and not once have I had a problem. I know your supposed to put it in the engine bay but it gets hot in there. But hey if I was you, I wouldn't worry about it.
