New System, Have some Questions

Just picked up 2 Memphis 15" C3 DVC subs and a Crunch pzi1500.1 amp like new.

First question is what gauge power wire would you guys recommend for this set-up? (i would really like not to go any larger than needed)

Second question is how to wire these bad boys down to 1 ohm with the given amp. The amp is a monoblock with two positive/negative terminals for speakers. Ive also heard to get true 1 ohm you need to cut alls of the speaker wire exactly the same length is this true?

Any other recommendations for wiring this up will be helpful, I have an alternator getting new guts put in it atm It will be 180 amps (with the stock being 90 amps) and I have 1/0 gauge wire for it to the battery. I also have a 5 farad cap laying around should I use it?

They have to be the same length wire? Now I've heard it all.
I actually heard it from a guy that owns a small hole in the wall car audio store lol, I didnt think he was correct myself but he has good prices for small odds and ends pieces.

Just wire the voice coils in parallel on each speaker, and run one to each channel on your amp.

Wait, I just read that it's a monoblock, but has 2 negative and 2 positives outputs?

sounds like one of my local idiots. selld crunch and all that junk and calls it the best **** ever made. c3s are not bad, but 2 will eat that amp right up they will want more and that amp cant deliver enough power especially not clean.

the idea of equal wire to make it 1 ohm seems plausable but it is bullshit. your speaker wire has a certain impedence just liek your subs but the length of it would not have any effect on it unless you are talking about massive differences. in length. IMO, buy his cheap wire but wear some ear plugs when you walk in, and DONT let him sell you anything but little stuff like that or let him touch your car.

The amp came with the subs, Ive looked up some things on the amp and actually heard decent things about this model... it is a class a/b amp though. I also know that it wont push the subs near the max but I think it will be enough for now.

All kinds of monoblocks have 2 +'s and -'s. Since more and more people are running multiple subs these days it makes it easier to wire up. Its still a monoblock tho.
