new system for nova alpine and polk

Hi, I just made ordered a alpine 164bt, alpine ktp-499a, polk db651 6.5 for the front and polk db691 6x9 for the rear. I was going to just power speakers off head unit but every post i read says install a amp. I just didnt want to run the wiring until after i get a sub in about 6 months+. I went with the ktd but couldnt find any threads using this setup. I was wondering what your thoughts are on this setup?

This will be going in a 76 nova ss. with a custom built center console. the console with have the 6.5" mounted in it and the cd player. The 6x9 will be in the rear deck.
