New system for a friend

Alrighty, this is kinda a different kinda build for me and i dont know exactly what direction to go as far as hardware. My buddy owns a jeep cherokee that he wants a system thrown into. He doesnt want gobs of bass, just tight punchy sound. He also wants to do no electric upgrades, ie HO alt extra batteries and such. He needs a solid HU, subs, amp and wire on a $1000 budget, and anywhere we can save money the better. I want to go sealed for space sake, and ive been thinking about glassed backs with mdf faces firing at each other.

What are some good low power subs? 10"s,12"s, whatever. I was looking at the PGSDs, but i still havent got the one here installed yet.

Nifty. Works for me. So around 600w? Thats more power than i figured on, but it looks good. Amp ideas?
