New system for 2010 BMW 335i coupe suggestions?

Hey all,

So i am finally going to upgrade my current stock bmw stereo (i have the nav option with idrive but no premium sound).

My budget installed and everything is going to be $2,500-$3,500.

What i am looking for:

a) nice set of components (was thinking either the focal k2p or mtx 6.1?)

b) rear fill speakers

c) amp

d) sub

any suggestions?

if your wanting to go for sq than Blues are the only brand of speaker and sub your going to need.

now if you want to do spl the options are endless.

but the big question is what are your goals.

But focal is good **** bryan. if the man has the money, there isnt much better at least thats what everyone says lol

those blues killer, not to mention they are designed in part by ray from tips.

but they arnt cheap.

how much space do you have in the trunk, like actual measurements of width across the trunk, height, and depth. all at the smallest point, that way we have an idea of what to suggest as far as the sub stage.

trunk volume is roughly 12ft... don't want to fill it completely, so was thinking maybe one 12in?

well there goes most of your budget, also a lot of shops dont like to install things that they dont sell. your best bet will likely be to just find the shop that you want to do it and find out what they have.

no i found a shop that said they would install it no problem at all even if i don't buy the parts from them... so lets say given a $2250 price for just the products, what would you go with?

single dc lvl 5 12 ported on a saz 2500 for the sub stage with the blues 6.5" component set up front and blues 8s for rear fill. your also going to need an amp for the mids and high (im a little out of the loop on those)

you also going to need them to do the big 3 in 1/0 and 1-2 1/0 power runs. in the trunk youll need at least 2 deka 9a31's or similar batts to keep power going to the amps.

but thats just one of many things that you could do.

everyone who gives you ideas are going to have some bias. your best bet is to just do some research, hit some shows in your area and see what people are running there and try to find out what you like.
