New sundown sa-12 rev.3 today interesting pics is this used????

I just think either woofers or sundown (especially after all the emails I had to send them per request) should or could have immediately offered to send me a replacement promptly and apologize instead they waited till after closing to email and say start a rma process which takes 3 days to show up and then we go from there. To me that's not *great* customer service I feel like companies have to make exceptions in certain cases to take care of the customer I just wish one of the two companies stepped up better you know didn't have to be a big deal it got made into a bigger issues because nobody wants to really do the right thing sad really and how am I suppose to feel about sundown now? Idk seems all to silly and complicated over a 219 single sub purchase. I'm a commercial painter and let me tell you if I messed up a project even if it's not my fault even if it was Sherwin Williams had a batch of bad paint or the color didn't match you bet your a** I wouldn't be sleeping a wink I'd be on the job 24/7 fixing it because it's the right thing to do no matter how small the job and because that's my name my work on the line!!!!!!

woofers just replied and stated that;s how sundown subs are scuffed from testing them! who else am I suppose to order from where I know I can get a new stock not this crap from nobody in my area not even within 6 hours sells sundown.

here is their message:

Hi

Sundown subs have from time to time been known to have scuffs and imperfections since Sundown is more concerned about performance and output when they do quality control rather than tiny blemishes on the basket or magnet which is not seen when put in enclosures.
Well that's a b/s excuse. The truth is, this is a b stock woofer. Plain and simple. They sell a lot of b stock which is why their prices are cheaper.

Because he paid for a brand new sub.Would you be happy if you had ordered dd recones for your z, and they came used? I doubt it.
How would a recone come used? Haha

I wouldn't ask for a new one, because i know for a fact the company would make me pay to ship it back. I would ask for a partial refund like $30, which is manageable.

A while ago, I had an issue with XS power. I bought a brand new charger from SSA's site. I got it and it was missing the power cord, plus there was a capacitor rolling around inside it. When you tilted it, the capacitor rolled to the side where the vent was and you could see it. Also, the internal package had clearly been opened and re-sealed.

I'm guessing it was used or was broken and someone sent it back. No power cord and a component inside was broken.

I contacted SSA and they said to deal with XS power for returns or exchanges. I emailed Scott from XS power. Because of their return policy, I had to pay to ship my charger back to them, even though it was missing the cord and broken..... Shipping cost me $20, which wasn't bad I guess.

When he sent me the new charger, they tossed in a free XS power T-shirt though. I would've paid $20 for the T-shirt anyways, so that's a wash I guess. I wasn't too upset after they did that

I know it would cost quite a bit more to ship a sub back for replacement, and to me, that's not worth getting one without a couple scuffs on the basket.....

I think sundown said they would cover shipping maybe one way I cannot really understand the email but it still is a long process and he would be without his sub around 2 weeks or so if I am reading that correctly I wish they would have sent me a new one directly and charged my card and refunded it after I sent old one back or really slapped woofers wrist and force them to send me a new one I don't think either of those requests are out of line by me but neither of those are going to happen so I got to let it go and move on just be very careful and inspect any sundown sub you order especially the revision 3 because according to their email double boxing is no longer done on the sa at least

I agree with the partial refund. Shipping the sub back out is no where near worth vs just keeping the sub with a few scruffs and getting some money back.

In your opinion if the suspension seems very lose and the scuffs do you think it's safe for him to keep still? There's also a weird white coloration on backside of cone but Mechanically even if it's used if the voice coil looks decent isn't black or separated should he be ok? Or is a used b stock risky?

play it full tilt and if there's a tick at high excursions or anything then return it.
