New sundown sa-12 rev.3 today interesting pics is this used????

I had a similar problem with woofersetc before with a sundown sub. Lots of imperfections and ugly glue joints on the sub. I told woofersetc I was not happy with it and felt it was b-stock and they were not willing to work with me at all. Gave me the same story saying " that's just how sundown subs are" . I have bought sundown from many other places including the yard sale and have had no cosmetic issues like these from anyone else. Woofersetc is sketchy IMO. Sundown was willing to help me though and has been great anytime I have needed or wanted to contact them.

wow so its not only me man sundown needs to drop woofers and quick

so woofers sent me two messages I saved stating its all sundowns fault. after waiting all day for sundown to talk to woofers sundown finally offered for me to file a return rma form out which takes 3-5 days then the process would continue from there. it wasn't Jacob though. It was a gift for someone and they said since they aren't inverting they will deal with it but I re read the listing and woofers has it listed as *A* stock and also early in the morning sundown said it should have been double boxed foam packed and bagged, then later in the day they sent me another email that said they no longer double box? SEEMED SKETCHY at the end of the day in my opinion both companies handled it poorly especially woofers. (i appreciate that after a lot of back and forth and tons of emails and more and more pictures I had to keep sending sundown finally decided to take care of it but with everything I presented they should have taken faster and more aggressive action and they need to hold woofers accountable to it just looks bad on sundown no matter who the culprit is here. ***** because even I have become a sundown fan and when I first had one I hated it and started a why I hate my sundown now I love them and we get this happening. Never again will I go near WOOFERS that's for sure.To me it doesnt matter whos at fault im the customer and thats a sad sad way to recieve a new item from a authorized dealer then the back and forth merry go round I was put through just sad and embarrassing as a gift if you guys woulds seen this thing it was clearly used and not even packed inside the box what a joke sundown needs to re consider who is a dealer for them. here is what I was sent by both companies..............................
WOOFERS : We just got the Rev 3 SA subs recently and have not had a single return or open box for sale so the sub should certainly be 100% brand new. When we get orders we pull them off the pallet we got them on direct from Sundown and ship them out. Do you want to run this by ***** at Sundown and see what he says and take it from that point? Again the sub should be 100% brand new but SCUFFS AND IMPERFECTIONS ARE COMMON WITH SUNDOWN SUBS.

SUNDOWN: EARLY MORNING,Yes please send me some pictures of everything. That is not characteristic of our shipping boxes.

LATER IN THE DAY AFTER THEY TALKED TO WOOFERS,The SA’s are not double boxed unless someone buys two of them Now this does not explain the fact that your woofer is scuffed up bad. We can replace your woofer no problem

Again, BS. Unless the person bought from the yardsale which Jake has all the time or a loose pallet driver, I can prob see that happening.

Hell my yardsale x15 is in a lot better shape than that poor sub.

Someone sent you, OP, the messed up used sub, prob his, and kept the one you supposily ordered.

With those minor sccuffs though, I wouldn't even bother sending it back in for a new sub.
You'll scuff it on the edge of the box when you mount it anyways.....
So your sayin' it's ok he shelled out a bunch of dough for a new sub and was sent a used one, and to you that's ok?

Isn't that like you tryin' to sell your Tantric subs on here and sayin' ya they work perfect but yet their in **** poor shape and dealin' with Murphy because you were needin' some recones or somethin'?! And people on here know better.

Again....BS.

Yo, you never came and got a demo
I just started tearing my box apart yesterday. The Wardens and TFE 8.0 should get here next week
ya i got too tied up with work and other stuff.... i think i heard you going down south grand early in the week. monday maybe

agreed also honestly the more I think about it the more I feel I deserve this. I should have been smarter. I should have come into this forum and got opinions on other owners where they bought theirs I should have done more homework. I messed up saw the words authorized dealer and *a* stock and fell for it. so really I deserve the $229 mistake. Now that being said I still think its wrong, was handled wrong and without a doubt someone is lying but I can tell you this I paid $229 for a solid LESSON and I will never make that mistake again. Also I think its really cool everyone who took the time to chime in give their thoughts and opinions and weird as it sounds I found comfort in that because this really ****** especially when you see it in person and go through it (THE PICTURES DO IT NO JUSTICE) So really cool and I APPRECIATE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR COMMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, i'm not saying it's perfectly ok. I didn't "shell out a bunch of dough". The SA series is reasonably priced. I'm sure the sub he got works perfectly

The subs did work perfect. They were still louder than you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I don't think you're in the wrong, but I also don't think there is anything wrong with the sub. You could ask for a partial refund because of the cosmetic condition. I think $30 back would be fair

You're not out too much money and you have a working sub. I've been out a lot more than that with nothing to show for it
woofers just replied and stated that;s how sundown subs are scuffed from testing them! who else am I suppose to order from where I know I can get a new stock not this crap from nobody in my area not even within 6 hours sells sundown.

here is their message:

Hi
Sundown subs have from time to time been known to have scuffs and imperfections since Sundown is more concerned about performance and output when they do quality control rather than tiny blemishes on the basket or magnet which is not seen when put in enclosures.
@sundownz ; I'm sure you don't like dealers spreading this word.
