isn't that to small for a 12? what amp does he have?tc9 based 12 tuned to 27 hz in 1.25 cubes i think
Yeah I only have around 1000w total to throw at my subs with my electrical, though. I don't think 500 per mag would quite cut it? I guess I'll give it a try with one mag sealed first and go from there. I do like things somewhat loud from time to time, but I'm not looking to compete or anything. As Chad mentioned, the new Mag doesn't NEED 1000 watts to get it going.
Yeah the volume reqs for the BM's are outstanding. That's really why I'm on the fence since box size isn't really a factor anymore. Now I can't figure out if the low end and sound quality [not to mention output] would be very noticeable between one mag and a pair of BM's though. The mag is obviously marketed as the higher quality driver so I'm a bit torn.BM's are an option though - especially when you consider the total enclosure volume required for two 12's is 1 cubic foot. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif But again, with the design of the drivers you won't need 500 watts to each driver to reach full potential. The power handling ratings are just that - a power handling rating...not a power requirement.
Its a hard choice between my "old" 15's and the new 12's.+1 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
