New SQ setup how does this sound

im a dls dealer just never really messed with SQ till now
Well in that case, DLS it up man! Three way active up front with like 4 A3's running the show //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

But seriously, going to active in your situation would be like trying to learn the olympic butterfly your first time in the pool.

ok iv been researching but i dont know what the hell to do i want to run a 3way setup in the front but im afraid its not going to be loud enough if i just want to jam so im debating on rear fill but then i dont know what amps to run for the correct power if someone could give me some imput on power wise and what amps i should run and what ohm

and you're a dealer? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

well i work at a shop but im clueless when it comes to SQ im used to 5k of power and 2 18's in my truck sitting in 14cubes. And peeps around here dont really do SQ they eighter just want something to replace factory or want some thats loud as hell. Iv only done 1 sq system which consisted of a set of Iridium 8.3 and DLS UR10 and a A7 which sounds amazing just doesnt get real loud but what ever i think i know what im going to run now 2 DLS a2's bridged when will give me 450watts per pair or speakers then a a3 on the subs

The rear fill is going to kill your freq responce.. Am I wrong guys?

Will also trash the sound stage..(In most cases)

Rearfill to me is more for the Daiy driver high schooler that cares what the passanger has to say about the audio setup....

Just $0.01 from me..

Passive is kool you should still look into bie-Amping or somthing.. If you want it loud..

That will add some dB's to the system...

The 3way will realy fill the cab for sure..

Peace Troy

gotcha kinda makes since so how bout a iridium 6.3 up front on a a3.... would adding a 5.25 comp set up front with the 6.3's kill the freq responce as well

I dont think it would do much..

the 3way would have you coverd for freq..

the 5.25 wont add moch to the system but cost..

maybe add a bit more power if you realy think you need it..

I think the system would be sweet as is..

the 3way will sound great & should have plenty of sound..

iv never run any rearfill & have always had plenty of vol.

running the system in my sig. I could fill a parking lot with lots of SQ sound..

thats just a 2way bie amped & a sub.. (under powered.IDMAX 300w)

keep checkin things out .. heres a link to readup on..

SQ system set-ups and the theories behind them

ok i know runnin a amp at 4ohm or say at 1ohm ur Thd is going to be better at 4ohm but if i run say the a2 at 2ohm bridged on a 6.3 set which will yield 450watts for the set would i be able to tell the lack of Thd runnin at 2ohm compared to 4ohm

I think that the A3 should give you plenty of power for the 3-way up front. I'm running a similar amount on my front stage and have no problems with volume or headroom. I wouldn't add the extra 5.25 set. Minimal gain with a lot of effort involved to get it all installed up front somewhere where it would have a chance of performing. If you really want more up front, might I suggest adding a second midbass (2 total per side) on their own amp (an A3 should fit the bill nicely) and run the mid and tweet passive on their own amp (an A2 should be plenty). Run an active crossover between the midbasses and the mid/tweet setup and run the passive from the comp set for the mid/tweet.
