Ok, i had a 1996 orion hcca and one of the coils fried somewhere in it, we checked it with a multi-range tester and one coil works but the other does not. I cant find those hcca's anymore so i guess i have to move on to something newer. My options are a Phoenix gold titanium elite 12, Image dynamics idmax 12, Treo SSX 12. I would really rather get another hcca but i cant find anymore and i dont want those new h2's. I will be running a xenon 600.1 and possibly switching it to a 1200.1 depending on what speaker i get. I am looking for a good SPL reading with a little punch to it for SQ. Thanks.

how many numbers can those idmax's put up? can they hold a lot of power? i've heard nothing but good things about their sq being hands down the best.

the idmax is not best for your applaction, its not really for spl. maby the treo.

ive got my PG Ti Elite for sale...FYI....

there is a tiny poke in the surround and its missing the magnet boot.

IDmax is more SQ oriented, so id throw that out. now between the PG and the Treo, the PG is very inefficent, so you couldnt use the 600.1 with it.

id prolly do the Treo over the PG though, now that i know what a power hog it is.
