New some Advice

I have just bought 2 Alpine Type R 12s and I want them in as soon as possible but I just bought a car and dont have too much money to spend. So what amp or amps should I use to power these beasts....I only have around 250 to spend...Help me please...

another thing...Do I just splice the wires that came with the box with the alpine wires to install it in the box, because they are totally different?

they both are dual 4's, if so, look for any amp, 1000 watts or so into a 1 ohm load...a list is in the amp section.

since you can wire these two dual 4 ohm subs down to a 1 ohm load(wire the coils in parallel and the subs in parallel), you can get alot out of a big mono (one channel) amp which puts out around 1000 watts @ 1ohm...if you use a two channel amp, each channel will be seeing a 2 ohm load, so look at the specs and figure out how much each channel of the two channel amp will be putting out @ 2 ohm
