Good choices! Type R will pound and sound good doing it . IDMAX is very good too. Head unit, take a look at Kenwood Excelon's very good SQ with loads of options. Not a bad price either. Good luck to you.

definitly look at kenwood for HU. i have worked with kenwood for years and hasnt failed me yet. i am actually selling mine. check the classified.

Sweet ill look into that kenwood HU. Any ideas on what amp i should power 2 12" IDQs dual 4 ohm.

eveyrone has a different outcome with them. There very capable drivers jus kinda power hungry and want decent size boxes.

So SQ wise what is better, the Rli 10s or the IDQ 12s?

Would the SQ be better if the sub's frequency response is lower, or is it completely irrelevant??
