I owned Titanium and I currently own Xenon subs, but these things simply don't LOOK good enough to be replacements for my Xenons. I will have to hear a set I guess.... time will tell.

THERES STILL HOPE IM ALMOST POSTIVE THIS IS THE REPLACMENT FOR THE OCTANE. I heard the line to replace the xenon is suppose to be as good if not better and look similar to the Titanum stuff but well see..

Personally, the only Tantrum series amplifier that I was a fan of was the 1200.1.

The others were not that special. At least by Phoenix Gold (old) standards.

what's the difference between a 500.2 and 1200.1 amp besides the wattage? i got the 500.2

totally different animal. The 500.2 is a class a/b amp, and is still quite a good amp. The 1200.1 was class-t, and was just simply a beast.

as for 'bring back the m/ms' series comments, give your pg dealer a call. about a year ago PG began producing the ms series amps again, and are readily available through special order.

They also sold quite a few on their pg-direct ebay store..

I dont think they look that bad. Pull the endcaps and it would probably be a decent amp. I'm not sure why they had to angle the power connectors, though...

I saw those ms1000's on the direct store, but didnt have $800 ;(

I didnt realize they were new production though.. i thought they were old stock, maybe refurbs or something. I just read the tail end of the thread on soundbuggy and saw that they are indeed making new MS series. Now i just need to find a buyer for my soul.. or a winning lotto ticket.

You are correct. Pg does still make the ms line, but they dont get many sells because no one knows that this line is still in production. They are rather expensive though.

phoenix engineer told me these were replacing the xenon's not the octanes guys..... and i agree they look hideous!!!! never find one in my car anyway....

Yea it looks like thos would be a xenon replacement. They look like crap IMO and personally I think PG jsut keeps going downhill.
