I thought you guy's might like to see the amp rack that is installed in my 94 expolrer sport. There is going to be a cover board with plexi glass to trim out the top. This amp rack is recessed in to the floor of the rear cargo area. Let me know what you think of it. Also any ideas as far as the cover piece are welcome. Thanks:D

Thanks Matt , This particular build has become quite involved . The list of new parts is staggering . I am going through the whole vehical. It came to me as a 400.00 reservation impound , now several grand laiter it looks like thishttp://img240.imageshack.us/img240/2391/im0000711qa.jpg

It is tough to find time to work on this when I am a custom 4x4 metal fabricator on the side. I am currently fabbing full width 1978 Bronco axles under a 1990 sompthing Jeep Cherokee

This build up is currently on Pirate 4x4 under three link full with cherokee.

semi thick masonite can be used for that trim piece. just get a big ol hunk of paper trace out the lip patern around the battery then cut out the paper trace lay it on the masonite to get the outside shape. nect use ur imagination to how you want the middle cut outthen cover. to hold it on you can use screws with dress caps or speaker grill peg feet

Thanks I was thinking of using a remivable cover , Because my inline fuse for the seccond battery will go in there.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif This systm is so close to being done I can taste it.

I miss teh old days as well .90% of the installs back in 1993 looked like this, screw covers , gromits , vinyl, carpet. And that is about how long it has been since I have done a custom install. But I am kind of an old fvck:laugh: .32

Looks pretty labor intensive but it also looks like the finished product will be well worth it.
Good job! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
