New member, weird problem please help

Ok I Tor my f350 apart everything was working mint the amp sub and speaker were all perfect. I took the whole interior out to sound proof the cab. Ran new speaker wire. Put the carpet back in and all the sound stuff wired up. Tried it out for 10 min everything worked good so I put the sears back inane went for a drive then all of the sudden the amp shuts off mid song. I pull over check it out start the truck back up and the sub keeps makeing a popping beat . Pop pop pop.

The speakers still work but even at the volume at zero the sub keeps popping and u can hear a fuzz from the speakers. Then the amp will go into protection sometimes. I'm thinking ground??? Please help

Sounds to me as though you may have wired your subs to an Ohm load that the amplifier is not capable of stable..double check your amplifier s stability@ the ohm configuration you need

Also recheck the ground maybe loose or in a bad spot

and recheck your signal cables at the amplifier. This happens in my roommates cherokee because the temporary amp he is running has bad signal terminals.

Inthink I finally blew the amp... Rechecked grounds even ran a ground to the battery. Same thing.... The amp is like 16 years old it's the old Sony one with 6 channels.

Might have had something shorting out on your pretty new deadener. I do it all the time in my SPL car. Lol.

if you no someone with an amp, hook it up and you will no forsure if its the amp or the wiring in the truck

Time for a new amp, just don't buy anything sony now a days.

Ya got a alpine 5 channel. Nice and clear way better then the old mammoth Sony
