New member serious questions!!!

1000 watts from watt though? Murph AH dont mean ****. Just like rms dont mean ****, cone area dont mean ****, coil size dont mean ****, ect. No one spec means anything without the rest. 40ah XS will smoke a 100ah duracell for this application.
Did I say he needs two 3100's nope. I was agreeing he would need two 3400's. Chill out man but, in reality everything you just said means **** to many different extents. Coil size and cone area really don't even correlate so... Yeah.

I thought you where comparing a 3400 to a Duracell 31. Most people on here talk about how something is better because it has a 4 inch coil, or it will be louder because it has more cone area, or it wont take power because its a 4 layer coil, it wont be strong because the motor only ways 50 pounds or it will be stronger because it weights 80 pounds.

I agree with you here 100% motor weight is easily one of the most over hyped things out there. To have a really strong magnet you need a larger diameter not just a fatass one. (Excluding noes of course)

If so then why is Sundown so loved? Comes from China..

A lot of good stuff comes from China, example my Slash amps. If I could afford 4 1000/1s I would take those Chinesse amps over 8000 Korean all day.

If you are planning on having the 2 batteries in the back close to eachother you should use bus bars instead of all that wire, just use 3/8" or 1/2" aluminum bars between the positives of each battery and another between the negatives.

This is a much cleaner way to set up multiple batteries and is very simple to upgrade with.

Those companies have great quality control. If you look at the mass market out of China it is almost all nearly garbage. Profit is the only reason why China is utilized. We all want everything cheap.

BS...nothing magical about XS batts. Sorry you believe the hype. I've done BIG builds with them, like 14 batts and 2 390a alts. Electrical is no better then mine with Deka's, same alts and more power...

Good for you. I dont have room more to many batteries that why I use the ones you only need a few of. Overall the electrical is limited to the alternator power anyway. If you have done BIG builds with less then 800 amps of alternator thats the problem. I run 6000 watts off two 3400s, top that with the cheap stuff. You wont I promise that. Thats why when somebody ask for electrical advice people tell them they need 2 cheap 31s to run 2500 watts on here. All they would need is one 3400. Cost about the same and weights 150 pounds less, much less lost space also. You really do get what you pay for.

Thanks for that. I will still be running the d3400 in the front and probably 2 d3100's in the rear for voltage drop reasons and in case i want to play a lot while jeep is off.

Have several guys on me team with only 2-4 xs batts, their electrical is nothing to brag about. Even the guy with 4 D7500's or whatever those monsters are. He drops bad on 8kw with a 300a alt. Had Dekas first and went to the xs batts and gained like .2 at full tilt.

Glad they work for you, but I've yet to see any build where they were anything special, other then the price...

You get an xs sticker, that's about it
